Here are some shots on the trip back. I like the desolate feel of the high plains where there is nothing around for as far as you can see. The second shot is a stand of trees that didn't quite survive a burn.
We did some mountain biking around Bend and Sisters. The trails in that area are really amazing, fast and smooth.
My friend and I took a trip down to central Oregon last week. The high desert is such a beautiful place. We stayed in west Bend. It was a great location, close to downtown, the Deschutes River, and the bike trails.
